\u00abMazap\u00e1n Childhoods. Representations of Childhood in the Music of the Group Mazap\u00e1n. Juan Carlos Poveda.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This book rescues and establishes the value of the Mazap\u00e1n group as creators of music for children, with a repertoire that brought into play resources and procedures originating from early European music, the traditional repertoire of different cultures, and popular music. There are many generations of children who have grown up singing and playing to the rhythm of Mazap\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Marisol Garc\u00eda, <\/strong>journalist and researcher in Chilean music. Master in Art, Thought and Culture (USACh).<\/p>\n

Carmen Lavanchy,\u00a0<\/strong>musician and educator, founder of the Mazap\u00e1n Group.<\/p>\n

Catalina Donoso Pinto,\u00a0<\/strong>academic at the University of Chile.<\/p>\n

Daniela Banderas,\u00a0<\/strong>musicologist and psychologist, academic in the Department of Music at the University of La Serena.<\/p>\n

Juan Carlos Poveda,\u00a0<\/strong>Master in Musicology and PhD in Latin American Studies (UCh). Academic at the UAH Institute of Music and author of the book.<\/p>\n

Members of the Mazap\u00e1n group will attend the ceremony and treat attendees to the performance of a few songs.<\/span><\/p>\n
