Chile. Born in 1919 in Río Bueno, where he is an Illustrious Son. He studied Law at the Catholic University of Chile. A journalist and writer with an extensive career, he was a prominent commentator on international politics for more than five decades. He served as Chile's ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, D.C. (1965-1970). Later, with the return of democracy, he served as Chile's ambassador to Peru (1990-1994). He is the author of several books.
