Professor of Pastoral Theology and Ministry, particularly in the areas of missiology and Latin theology, at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University (Berkeley, United States), and at the Graduate Theological Union (Berkeley). He publishes, gives workshops and retreats, and assists in local parishes. Author of multiple works on US Latin theology, he also co-authored with James Empereur, La Vida Sacra: Contemporary Hispanic Sacramental Theology (2006) and Mexican American Catholics (2007).
