Physician-psychiatrist from the University of Chile, psychoanalyst, and Doctor of Psychoanalysis. Since 1980, she has systematically worked in psychotherapeutic care for individuals affected by political traumatization. In 1988, along with other professionals, she founded the Latin American Institute of Mental Health and Human Rights (ILAS), where she serves as Director. She has taught at several Chilean universities. Currently, her clinical experience and theoretical reflection specifically in this field of study are part of the teaching activities she develops at Alberto Hurtado University.
