Chile. Agronomic Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Bachelor of Theology from the Facultés St. Albert, Belgium, Bachelor of Theology from Collège de l’Immaculée Conception, Canada, Doctor of Economics from Iowa State University, United States. In Paris, he was a professor at the University of Paris (St. Denis and Nanterre) and contributed to the creation of Cetral, Centre de Recherche sur l’Amérique Latine et le Tiers Monde, and collaborated with the journal Études. He was a tenured professor at the Autonomous University of Mexico. He was director of Ilades and Revista Persona y Sociedad. Associate Director of Revista Mensaje and professor emeritus of the Universidad Alberto Hurtado, where he served as Vice-Rector. He was the founder of the MBA program at this institution, a program where he established the Chair of Business Ethics and CSR. In addition to research in the agricultural and biotechnology fields, he is the author of the book Corporate Social Responsibility: A Global Perspective (UAH, 2006), one of the first in the field in Chile.
