He has published the books Mapuche Letters. 19th Century, 2008, Mapuche and Anglicans, 2007, with André Menard, and Capitalism and Pornography, 2011, with Lilith Kraushaar. In recent years, he has researched and published articles on the relationships between culture, gender, race, violence, and sexuality in Chile and Latin America. He has taught at universities in Chile, Brazil, and France, and currently works as an academic in the Department of Sociology at Universidad Alberto Hurtado.
