Authors of different generations, styles, places of origin, and themes were invited to participate in an anthology of unpublished texts, reflecting literarily on the theme of that border which troubles them, which for each is movement and friction, so that each author would be the cartographer traversing a border and sketching a map. And these maps, which they project, also outline a cartography of power and dependency relationships, of extreme landscapes, of the memory of political violence, of postponements, of revendications that still await.

Andrea Jeftanovic
Chile. Narrator, essayist, and professor. She holds a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. She is the author of the novels *Escenario de guerra* (National Council for Culture and the Arts Award) and *Geografía de la lengua* (2007); and the short story collection *No aceptes caramelos de extraños* (Uqbar editors 2011, Seix Barral 2012; Chilean Circle of Art Critics Award for “Best Literary Work 2011"). In the field of non-fiction, she is the author of *Conversaciones con Isidora Aguirre* (Frontera Sur, 2009) and the essay collection *Hablan los hijos. Estéticas y discursos en la perspectiva infantil en la literatura contemporánea* (Cuarto Propio, 2011). Her stories have been included in various national and international anthologies.
