Italy. Professor at the Irish Centre for Human Rights at the National University of Galway, Ireland. She obtained her doctorate in Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London in 2012. During her postgraduate studies, she was a teaching assistant at SOAS, lecturing on justice and reconciliation processes in post-conflict societies. Before her academic career, she worked in United Nations organizations such as OHCHR and UNDP, in Chile and Botswana, in the areas of Human Rights and Governance. Her research interests include transitional justice, truth commissions, memory, law, and reconciliation.
