USA. Tenured professor and director of the Department of Languages and Cultures at Fordham University, in New York, USA. He researches and teaches about the culture, cinema, and literature of Chile and Latin America. He is co-editor, with Vania Barraza, of Chilean Cinema in the Twenty-First-Century World (2020). His writing has appeared in academic journals such as Revista de Estudios Hispánicos, Hispanic Review, and Comunicación y medios. Before pursuing his doctorate, he worked as a translator for the Government of Chile.
