He has worked as a Senior Economist at the Central Bank of Chile in the Studies Division. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Economics at Universidad Alberto Hurtado. His research areas are international finance, energy, monetary policy, exchange rate policy, and fiscal policy. He has national and international academic publications in the mentioned areas.
