Chile. Associate Professor at the Faculty of Theology and Associate Researcher at the Center for Religious Studies of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He trained in linguistics and cultural studies in Barcelona, and studied theology and Byzantine painting in Athens. His research focuses on the relationship between art and the experience of the sacred, the theology of the image in the Christian East, and Latin American popular Christianity. In addition to publishing a number of articles on these topics, he is the author of the book “Art and Theology. The Renaissance of Icon Painting in Modern Greece,” published by Ediciones UC.
