Her research covers the sociology of accounting and management tools, the history of management, and its relationship with critical social movements concerning companies. She is the author of the books *Artistes versus Managers* (Paris, Métailié, 1998) and *The New Spirit of Capitalism* (with Luc Boltanski, Paris, Gallimard, 1999).
