To this end, it reviews and contrasts different theories that have addressed this topic since 1990, from sociology, political science, and social psychology, as well as from management sciences. Based on this, it proposes its own framework and methodology to approach the issue in a comprehensive manner.

France. Director of Studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS). She was a professor at HEC Paris from 1994 to 2003. Her research covers the sociology of accounting and management tools, the history of management, and its relationship with critical social movements concerning companies. She is the author of the books *Artistes versus Managers* (Paris, Métailié, 1998) and *The New Spirit of Capitalism* (with Luc Boltanski, Paris, Gallimard, 1999).Patrick Gilbert
France. Professor at IAE Paris (Université Panthéon-Sorbonne). His research focuses on management control systems and human resource management, their modes of social construction, and their effects. Among other works, he is the author of management instrumentation, management technology, human science (Paris, Económica, 1998) and of Human resource planning (Paris, La Découverte, 2011).Related books
