Pedro Milos

Chile. Holds a degree in History from the Universidad Católica de Chile and a PhD in Historical Sciences from the Universidad Católica de Lovaina (Belgium). He is currently the Academic Vice-Rector of the Universidad Alberto Hurtado and a professor and researcher in its History Department. As part of extensive popular education work, carried out throughout the 1980s by ECO, Educación y Comunicaciones, and the Taller Nueva Historia, focused on popular history and memory, he co-authored the series *Historia del Movimiento Obrero chileno* and the book *FOCH, CTCH, CUT. Las centrales unitarias en la historia del sindicalismo chileno*. Since the 1990s, he has authored works and articles on the relationship between history, memory, and identity; on history teaching; and on topics of 20th-century Chilean social and political history. From 2000 to 2008, he authored textbooks for the History and Social Sciences sector for all four levels of secondary education (Editorial Mare Nostrum). He is the author of the books *Historia y memoria. 2 de abril de 1957* and *Frente Popular en Chile. Su configuración: 1935-1938*. Since 1998 to the present, he has been a visiting professor at the Universidad Católica de Lovaina, teaching a course on the History of Latin America.
