Marcelo Mardones
Chile. Holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in History from the University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, respectively. He also holds a PhD in Architecture and Urban Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, where he completed a thesis based on tram workers and state intervention in public transportation during the developmentalist period, which served as the foundation for this book. He is currently a professor at Diego Portales University.Simon Castillo Fernandez
Chile. Doctor of Architecture and Urban Studies from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also holds a Master's degree in History with a mention in American History from the University of Chile and a Bachelor's degree in History from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He is an associate professor in the Department of History at Universidad Alberto Hurtado and a researcher for the website www.memoriachilena.cl, from Dibam. He is a member of the collective “Micropolis,” dedicated to the visual history of public transportation. He also serves as Head of Academic Projects for the Graduate Studies General Directorate at Universidad Andrés Bello. He has published articles, reviews, and books on urban history and specifically on contemporary Santiago.Related books
