Chile. Holds a degree in Hispanic Language and Literature and a Master's in General and Comparative Literature from the University of Chile, and a PhD in History of Medicine from Freie Universität Berlin. She is currently a professor in the Department of Literature at the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Adolfo Ibáñez University. She has published a series of articles in specialized journals and collective books. She is the author of *Der kranke Mann. Medizin und Geschlecht um 1900* (The Sick Man. Medicine and Gender around 1900) (Frankfurt am Main/New York: Campus, 2006), co-authored with Ana Traverso, *Escribir & tachar* (To Write & Cross Out) (Santiago, Chile: Overol, 2020); and *Fronteras de lo real* (Borders of the Real) (Santiago, Chile: Hueders, 2022). Her research focuses on the links between literature and medicine, literature and psychoanalysis, as well as the relationships between literature and biopolitics.
