Chile. Doctor of History from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has published numerous articles related to the prison experience in Chile, policies regarding the fight against alcoholism, and the origins of drug consumption and trafficking in Chile. He currently works as a professor for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the Department of History at Universidad Alberto Hurtado and at the Institute of History at PUC, teaching and researching contemporary historiography and topics related to the history of Chile, particularly the early years of the Vicariate of Solidarity. In 2010, he published *Bebidas alcohólicas en Chile – Una historia de su fomento y expansión, 1870-1930* (Alcoholic Beverages in Chile – A History of Their Promotion and Expansion, 1870-1930), Ediciones Universidad Alberto Hurtado. He has also published multiple articles on the relationship between Catholicism and politics in Chile and Latin America during the second half of the 20th century.
