14th Primavera del Libro 2025 → From October 3rd to 5th → 11 AM to 9 PM → National Stadium Park → Estadio Nacional Metro Station, Line 6 – Ñuñoa. → Stall 75.

A new version of the 14th Spring Book Festival, organized by Editoriales de Chile, begins this Friday, October 3rd. This event brings together editors, illustrators, and readers from the entire Metropolitan Region and the entire country to celebrate books, reading, and independent publishing.

More than 100 independent and university presses will participate in the event, and there will also be a wide program of cultural activities for children, youth, and all kinds of audiences.

“Culture in Chile. Why don't the candidates care?. On this occasion, we are organizing a talk related to the 2025 electoral context. The central theme lies in the importance that different presidential candidates and government programs give or do not give to cultural policies, all under the analysis and interdisciplinary perspective of experts and artists.

«Examine why culture remains a marginal issue in government programs and how this reflects broader power relations. Debate culture beyond the instrumental and economic, as a citizen's right and a factor of social cohesion or conflict. Beatriz García-Huidobro, editor at UAH Editions.
