«Female scientists in Chile. How their life stories contribute to science education. Authors Pamela Medina and Javiera Soto.

The presentation of this book features the story of seven female researchers: Lorena Lobos (Biochemist), Brigitte Van Zundert (Molecular Biologist), Francisca Blanco (Plant Pathologist), Paula Celis (Marine Biologist), Jocelyn Dunstan (Physicist), Natalia Inostroza (Astrochemist), and Teresa Paneque (Astronomer). Based on their biographies, the challenges women face in the world of science are revealed, along with ways classroom teachers can encourage these learnings and vocations.

Pamela Medina Herrera. Master in Didactics of Experimental Sciences, UAH academic and author of the book.

Javiera Soto Quiroz. Master in Didactics of Experimental Sciences, UAH academic and author of the book.

Paloma Ávila Barrera. Journalist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Director of CNN Futuro and host of the program Desafío Tierra.
