Argentine Popular Theology

This edition aims to shed light on the “Argentine theology of the people,” its origins, and its fundamental contributions, particularly during the period between the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council and the Puebla Conference. As Gera is the most prominent theologian of this movement, this book compiles and introduces a handful of “witness writings.” Due to their explanatory nature regarding the local context of the Southern Cone of Latin America, these writings help us understand the genesis and proposal of the theology of the people.
