Alejandra Santana Lopez

Chile. Doctor of Educational Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Master in Education, Master in Psychology, Bachelor of Social Work, and Social Worker. Postgraduate Diploma in Research Ethics with Human Beings from the University of Chile. Today, she leads the Research Ethics and Safety Unit at UC. She has an academic background in social work and education at universities in the country. Her research topics have included: education, contexts of poverty and educational policy, the relationship between family, school, and community, and school social work. She seeks to contribute an interdisciplinary perspective to the understanding of these phenomena with an applied emphasis, contributing to the generation of social and educational innovations.
