Toned and Antitoned Pieces on Violeta Parra Compilations
$12.000
This study of the Chilean "tonada" according to the compilations of Violeta Parra and publications by Margot Loyola, Patricia Chavarría, Raúl Díaz-Acevedo, and Manuel Dannemann, serves as an introduction to Juan Pablo González's divergent readings of the "tonada" during the dictatorship, under the generic concept of "antitonada." Thus, we can consider this publication as a small book about the "tonada" with an appendix of "antitonada" sheet music, or inversely, a book of sheet music with an introduction to the "tonada." The reader will decide how to consider it.
